The Spanish Mackerel Open and Fisherman’s Post are looking to work with area sponsors to help make this fun, competitive, kid-friendly spanish mackerel fishing tournament another huge success within our fishing community.

The Spanish Mackerel Open promises an affordable entry fee, nice payouts, numerous other ways to win cash and prizes, and a weekend of events (captains’ party, awards party & dinner, etc.). And as a product of Fisherman’s Post, the event and its sponsors are guaranteed high visibility in front of the large saltwater fishing community of southeastern North Carolina.

In addition to being strongly marketed, we also put great emphasis on celebrating our youth by awarding numerous junior angler payouts and bringing every junior angler that weighs in a fish up on stage during Awards to receive a medal and a Prize Pack. This event is a great tactic for exposing kids to fishing and getting the family spending more time on the water together, and it also provides an easy and friendly way to try tournament fishing.

Market your business, expose prospective clients to your services, and create a favorable impression of your business by aligning yourself with this strongly marketed and highly visible family-friendly fishing event (and the proceeds go to a great cause).

The Spanish Mackerel Open will be donating tournament fish to Wilmington’s First Fruit Ministries. Since First Fruit Ministries began in 1998, it has grown to serve over 20,000 hot meals, provide emergency groceries to over 5,000 households, and shelter over 24 homeless women and families annually.

In addition to the different sponsorship levels to choose from, there are several other ways to get involved: donate items/gift cards for the raffle; donate items/gift cards for the captains’ bags; donate items/gift cards for special prize payouts; donate items/gift cards for the junior angler prize packs; work as a volunteer; and/or enter a boat as a contestant.

PLATINUM SPONSOR $1000

Includes all of the benefits of Gold Sponsor plus numerous upgrades, such as full page color ads on high visibility positions in tournament booklet; logo on cover of tournament booklet; prominent logo placement on tournament t-shirt (if applicable); web banner on tournament website; social media promotional spots; and eight invitations to tournament events. SILVER SPONSOR $250

Includes half page ad in tournament booklet; banner space at tournament headquarters; logo on leaderboard; recognition at captains’ meeting and awards ceremony; and two invitations to tournament events.

BRONZE SPONSOR $100

Includes third page ad in tournament booklet; recognition at captains’ meeting and awards ceremony; and two invitations to tournament events.
