Patrick, of Captain Smiley Fishing Charters, reports that several flounder are being caught around the Cherry Grove area and Tubbs Inlet, but most of the fish have been undersized. Live mud minnows and curly tailed grubs on 1/4 oz. jigheads have been good ways to hook up with the flounder.

Red and black drum are being caught around Dunn Sound using crabs and shrimp.

Larry, of Voyager Fishing Charters, reports that the offshore fishing has been spectacular the past couple of weeks.

Boats have caught grouper, beeliners, triggerfish, grunts, amberjacks, big porgies, and cobia.

Gulf Stream trolling in the 100-400 areas and around the Blackjack have produced mahi, wahoo, and blackfin tuna.

Nearshore and half-day trips have landed spanish mackerel, bonito, and bluefish. Bottom fishing trips have caught black sea bass, gray trout, and sharks.

 

Steve, of Cherry Grove Pier, reports that anglers are connecting with bluefish, whiting, croaker, and silver perch. Spanish mackerel were caught last week as well as a 25.5 lb. king, but there has been no action with either since then.

The water temperature is 70 degrees.
