PLEASURE ISLAND TEAM SURF FISHING CHALLENGE FAQs
1. Do you have to have four anglers, or can you enter with less than four anglers?
This is a team event, and each team may consist of up to four anglers. You may have less than four anglers on your team, but you still have to pay the full entry fee price.
2. If our team has less than four anglers, how many rods can we fish?
Each team (no matter how many anglers) can have a total of up to eight rods in the water at one time.
3. How many fish can each team weigh in?
Each team can weigh in up to three fish in each division (red drum, bluefish, black drum, and sea mullet) for a total of up to 12 fish per team. The leaderboard is based on a team’s heaviest three-fish aggregate in each of the four divisions.
4. So how are the Team Aggregate TWT winners determined? And what about the Team Hall of Fame award?
For the Team Aggregate TWT, a team adds up the total weight of their single heaviest fish in each of the four divisions (up to four fish). For the Team Hall of Fame award, a team adds up all of the fish the team weighs in each of the four divisions (up to 12 fish).
5. Where will the weigh stations be located?
There are no weigh stations for this event. All teams weigh in all of their fish on Sunday, April 13, from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon at Lazy Pirate.
6. Will the Town of Carolina Beach be giving anglers discounted passes for Freeman Park?
The Town of Carolina Beach will not be giving anglers discounted passes, and that’s because the spring event is considered a private event. The Town will be offering discounted passes again, though, for our fall event.
