The new scented soft baits like Gulp, Trigger-X, and others are, by now, well-proven weapons in inshore anglers’ arsenals. To those who don’t fish exclusively with live baits, the liquid-soaked lures are practically must-haves, but the effectiveness of their packaging often lags far behind their fish-catching prowess.
Anglers who have had a bag or jar of the baits leak know the stains and odors of their pheromone laden solutions are somewhere between difficult and impossible to remove from tackle bags and boat and automobile carpet, not to mention the pain of having the expensive lures dry up into useless morsels.
Fortunately, Plano has come up with a solution—the Liqua-Bait Locker System. The Liqua-Bait Locker System (LBL) was developed to contain the liquids and the odors associated with scented soft baits, as well as ensuring their freshness for continued use.Â
Manufactured out of tough Duraview  material, the LBL systems will withstand the beating that anglers put on their equipment. All four components of the system feature a Dri-Loc O-ring seal that makes all components of the LBL system leak-proof and airtight, keeping the baits fresh and tackle boxes, boats, and car trunks stain and odor free.
And noncorrosive pinned hinges on the boxes provide a strong solid hinge that will last through years of use.
The system was designed utilizing the footprint of a 3700 StowAway Utility Box allowing these products to fit into any bags designed to carry three or more 3700 size utility boxes.
The four components of the system are the 4642 and 4641 LBL box/bottle systems, the 4648 LBL Wallet, and the 4651 LBL Bottle.
The 4642 Extra Deep LBL includes one bottle, one bait grabber, and one bait wallet. The 4642 is designed to hold four bottles or wallets (or two of each) with room left over for additional packages of soft baits. The 4642 Extra Deep LBL measures 14”L x 9.13”W x 4.75”H and retails for $24.99.

The 4651 LBL Bottle holds up to 23.5 ounces of simulated live baits and the liquid they are stored in. The 4651 LBL Bottle measures 7.25”L x 3.75”W x 2.63”H and retails for $7.99.
