Cape Fear Disabled Sportsman Tournament
The 2004 Cape Fear Disabled Sportsman’s Fishing Tournament, hosted by the Got-Em-On Live Bait Club, was a huge success again this year. There were over 220 disabled participants fishing Friday, May 21, 2004. Along with the large participant turn out, there was a record number of volunteers that helped keep the big production moving smoothly and efficiently. This goes to show how strongly the Got-Em-On Live Bait Club and the Pleasure Island community feel about sharing the fun of fishing with all individuals. Thanks goes to Mike and Lisa Robertson for donating the use of the Kure Beach Fishing Pier. Of course the tournament would not have been pulled off without all of the incredible sponsors. The tournament winners are as follows: Grand Prize – Richie Williams of Carolina Beach; 1st Place – Fabian Intriago of Mocksville, NC; 2nd Place – Davey Bartlett of Carolina Beach; 3rd Place – Lisa Robinson of Wilmington; 4th Place – Jeff Winn of Wilmington; 5th Place – Stacey Saunders.
