Introducing a new dimension of realism to anglers’ hard bait arsenals, Kopper’s Live Target Series lures are dead ringers for the baitfish they’re named for.
Available in a host of different actions and styles, including topwaters, twitch baits, wake baits, and crankbaits, the lures utilize lifelike shapes, ultrarealistic finishes, and 3D textures to create a hard plug whose hooks and line attachment points are the only clue that anglers (and fish) aren’t looking at the real thing.
The multi-layered, hand-painted finishes atop the lures’ textured bodies are capped off with a pair of large, 3D eyes that give gamefish plenty to key in on.
Of particular interest to local anglers will be the company’s Mullet series, which feature two sizes and three distinct actions sure to attract the attention of hungry speckled trout, red drum, striped bass, and other inshore predators.
The Mullet Walking Bait is, as the name suggests, a walk-the-dog topwater lure with a rattle perfect for searching for red drum in the marshes. Also a floating bait, but with a slight diving action on the retrieve, the Twitchbait offers a bit more subtlety, ideal for glassy days or more finicky feeders like speckled trout. The Wakebait has a diving lip that carries it down to 12” below the surface and a jointed body that creates the most lifelike action possible in a hard lure.
Each one of the lures in the Live Target Mullet series is offered in 3.5” and 4.5” sizes to mimic the local bait in size as well as appearance, and anglers can choose between Natural/Matte, Silver/Brown, and Silver/Black color schemes.
The company also offers a hyper-realistic Menhaden in a sinking or suspending twitchbait or a crankbait capable of diving over 25’ to reach deep feeding fish like king mackerel.
Each of the lures in the Live Target feature super sharp Daiichi Hooks and beefy attachment points for line and hooks to ensure that whatever those sharp hooks land in ends up in the boat.
Along with the Mullet and Menhaden, Kopper’s manufactures Live Target Pinfish, Herring, Sardine, and Spanish Mackerel models.
