Red drum are biting in Dunn sound and in Little River inlet. Best baits for the redfish have been live baits or the Berkley gulp shrimp. A few speckled trout in the 13 to 20 inch range have been mixed in and are biting better on the higher tides.
Cherry Grove pier reports a few flounder being caught as well as whiting and pompano off the bottom. The live baiters on the end landed a king mackerel this week which was the anglers first.
