Bringing their popular MityLite 1900 to the marine and dive world, Pelican has just introduced the Nemo 1960 LED Flashlight.
The compact light is built slender and lightweight in order to let it fit into the pocket of a buoyancy compensator (BC) for divers or save space compared to much larger lights of similar brightness.
The light’s slim ABS resin body is corrosion-proof, resists harm from a wide variety of chemicals, and is at home in a range of temperatures far more extreme than it will likely see in local use.
Rated submersible to 100 meters, the light can handle more pressure than a diver can, and will laugh off splashings and accidental dunkings for the boater or fisherman.
The 24 lumens of light it puts out when turned on are plenty to illuminate the underwater world for divers looking for a little more visibility during their night dives, or for the boater trying to light up nearby reflective channel markers or find something in a dark, cluttered console.
Powered by a pair of AAA batteries, the light is rated for 3 hours of continuous runtime, courtesy of the latest power-saving technology in its single LED lamp.
A convenient clip keeps the Nemo 1960 at hand whether in a BC pocket or on the side of a tackle bag, and a bright yellow color option for the case will stand out in low-light conditions when users need it most. Blue and black cases are also available for those who prefer a more subtle color.
