Savage Gear is delivering yet another ultra-realistic lure for saltwater anglers, this time delivering an exquisite imitation of a live shrimp with the introduction of its Manic Shrimp V2.

The Savage Gear Manic Shrimp V2 comes in two models, Ready to Fish (RTF) with three sinking and two slow sinking sizes, and Weedless (WL) with two slow sinking sizes. This soft lure achieves realistic movement and a look that guarantees better action to entice even the most skeptical predators.
The Manic Shrimp V2 features an exposed hook configuration, and by using 3D scans of an actual shrimp, every aspect of this lure displays a lifelike appearance and movement. From ultra-realistic body contours, including legs and whiskers, to a specially designed tail delivering a true-to-life kicking action, the Manic Shrimp V2 provides a shrimp presentation capable of deceiving even the most discerning fish. In addition, the Savage Gear team has perfected the sink rates for this lure.
“We learned that the buoyancy and thickness of the leader, as well as the salinity of the water, are all factors with a major impact on the sink rate of a lure,” says Adam Ott, Product Manager for Savage Gear. “It took meticulous testing and six iterations before we got the sink rate on the sinking and the slow sinking Manic Shrimp, respectively, right. We learned how important this factor is to trigger the bite from several species.”
The lure’s custom Toughtec soft plastic body can withstand rigorous, all-day fishing conditions, ensuring it remains in top form all season long. To enhance its allure, the Manic Shrimp V2 further entices fish to strike with its infused scent ensuring they won’t let go once they bite. The Savage Gear Manic Shrimp V2 is also rigged with a weighted ultra-sharp jig hook for an optimal presentation and hook-setting capability.
