SITKA’s Radiant Hoody and Equinox Guard Hoody
SITKA is a brand that has conquered the hunting place for many years, and now they have developed key partnerships and technology to enhance their product line even further. In doing so, they have expanded into launching some key pieces that are exceptional everyday apparel items, suitable for activities like fishing, hiking, and camping.
The new Radiant Hoody, by SITKA, is the closest thing you can get to air conditioning in the great outdoors. This hoody keeps the heat and sun off, and the comfort on. The Radiant Hoody’s airy knit is fortified with UPF 20 sun protection, wicks sweat, dries fast, and wears like a cool breeze. In addition, the Polygiene® Odor Control Technology keeps the hoody fresh for the long haul.
Other features include a lightweight knit jersey fabric (67% polyester, 33% TENCEL®), thumbholes that prevent sleeves from riding up, and a three-panel hood with easy cinch adjustment to help fit comfortably over a hat.
In SITKA’s Equinox Guard Hoody, they recognized that balancing the need for comfort in hot conditions with preventing contact with insects, ticks, and chiggers runs a fine line. A lot of existing solutions are bulky, too hot, include DEET, or release smell into the environment.
The Equinox Guard Hoody is a unique solution that utilizes mechanical properties to help prevent bites and permethrin built-in for the life of the garment. A specialized, high-gauge textile has been both lab and field tested to reduce mosquito bites while remaining extremely lightweight, breathable, and comfortable when worn in sweltering conditions where insects thrive.
Providing a second element of protection, the entire garment is treated with Insect Shield® which repels mosquitoes, ticks, ants, biting flies, chiggers, and midges (no-see-ums), and does not require re-application.
Other features include moisture-wicking and tightly knit stretch fabric, a breathable mesh facemask that deploys quickly and doesn’t obstruct vision, a long tail designed to be tucked into pants for maximum chigger/tick protection, YKK® zippered chest pocket, UPF 50+ protection, and treated with Polygiene® Odor Control Technology.
Furthermore, this hoody can be paired with the Equinox Guard Pant and Glove for additional head-to-toe protection from insects.
