Sport fishing leader TACO Marine is enhancing fishing with its Carbon Fiber and Deluxe Aluminum Tele-Outrigger Poles.

The Carbon Fiber Tele-Outriggers debuted in 2016 and won an Innovation Award at the Miami International Boat Show that same year.

Stronger and lighter than any aluminum pole on the market, TACO’s Carbon Fiber Tele-Outriggers feature patent-pending swivel collars for 360 degrees of smooth rotation. The collars automatically swivel in the direction of the lures or bait—helping provide a more natural presentation and causing less friction on halyard lines when fishing.

The 20-foot Carbon Fiber Tele-Outriggers, combined with TACO’s Pro Series mounts, have been tested to handle full, triple-tier dredges of ballyhoo, mullet, or squid at higher speeds.

A unique feature of TACO’s Carbon Fiber Tele-Outriggers is the telescoping design. Both the 16- and 20-foot Carbon Fiber poles telescope to less than 8 feet for bridge clearance, trailering, and storage. When the poles are fully extended, secure locking pins snap into place.

For attaching to outrigger mounts, TACO offers the Carbon Fiber poles with two different butt styles—the Twist & Lock and the locking pin. The traditional locking pin butts, available on both the 16- and 20-foot versions, pair with TACO’s Grand Slam 280, 380, 390, and 400 Outrigger Mounts, as well as other outrigger mounts on the market that accept 1-1/2-inch diameter poles.

The Carbon Fiber Tele-Outriggers with Twist & Lock butts pair exclusively with TACO’s Pro Series GS-500 and GS-450, and the company’s new Grand Slam 1000 Electro-Hydraulic Outrigger Mount.

What makes the Twist & Lock butt design unique is that it eliminates the need for locking pins or bolts when attaching to the GS-450, GS-500, and GS-1000. Instead, anglers can easily insert the pole into the base arm, push, and twist to secure the poles in place.

For competitive or serious sport fishing enthusiasts, TACO is slated to rollout 24-foot Carbon Fiber Tele-Outriggers later this year.

TACO’s 18-foot Deluxe Aluminum Tele-Outriggers are also popular in the sport fishing world and debuted at the 2018 ICAST show. Designed for offshore trolling in search of bigger fish, these poles have a thicker wall for enhanced durability and also feature the company’s patent-pending swivel collars for a more natural bait presentation.

The Deluxe Poles also telescope down to less than 8 feet for bridge clearance, trailering, and storage, and they feature the pin-locking butt design. They, too, pair with TACO’s Grand Slam 280, 380, 390, and 400 Outrigger Mounts, as well as other outrigger mounts on the market that accept 1-1/2-inch diameter poles.

Additionally, the Deluxe Aluminum Poles come in silver/silver or black/silver color combinations, depending on the angler’s preference.

Both the Carbon Fiber and Deluxe Aluminum Tele-Outriggers come with roller bearing halyard pulleys and have an industry-leading 3-year limited warranty. Anglers can find these poles today at their favorite marine retailer.
