Paul Anderson weighed a 4.5 lb. fish good for second place in the event, and Capt. Chad Casteen rounded out the top three with a 4.1 lb. flounder.

Held out of Wildlife Park in Southport on September 19, the tournament helps to fund ongoing medical expenses for Brandon Matthews, a popular Southport outdoorsman who was left a quadriplegic after a fall from a tree stand nearly a decade ago. Despite the weather, the tournament had another successful year, and Matthews wished to thank It’s Copper By George for providing the event’s copper flatfish trophies again this year, Capt. Jimmy Price for his auctioneering skills, and all the event’s sponsors and participants for their roles in making the event a success.
