The baits not only feature more realistic features and body shapes than any other scented soft bait on the market, the Trigger X line is formulated with species-specific Ultrabite Pheromones.
Designed by CEFAS (Center for Environment, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Sciences), the Ultrabite Pheromones attract fish to the lures and trigger feeding impulses to fire in their brains.
Fish secrete pheromones (essentially chemicals that trigger a certain behavior) for primarily three reasons—sex, fear, and feeding, and the CEFAS team managed to isolate the particular pheromone associated with feeding to create the Ultrabite solution.
Trigger X Crab
The line includes a paddle tail minnow, a jerkbait-stye minnow, shrimp, and crab shapes, meaning that there’s a suitable style for nearly every inshore saltwater application. Each shape features a ribbed body that not only adds a soft, realistic feel to the baits, but the ribs also add dramatically to the lures’ surface area, allowing them to pump out even more of the fish attracting pheromones into the water.
The lures are available in eight pro-picked colors, ranging from extremely realistic choices like Grey Ghost, Mullet, and Natural, to brighter attractor patterns like Electric Chicken and Chartreuse Pepper Glow.
Unlike some soft baits on the market, the Trigger X soft baits are big on action, tempting finicky fish’s visual senses in addition to their noses. While big on action, the baits also stay on the hook extremely well compared to similar soft baits, particularly on jigheads with a ring shank-style keeper.
The shapes, actions, and pheromones formulations are also species specific throughout the Trigger X line. The lures are available in Inshore Saltwater, Bass, and Walleye formulations, so anglers won’t be casting lures designed to appeal to walleyes for red drum and vice versa.
Trigger X Minnow
The Trigger X baits are sold in bulk packs or 4-8 count precision packs. The precision packs contain each bait in a sealed clam package that keeps it immersed in the Ultrabite Pheromone solution for maximum saturation of the scientifically designed attractant. Bulk packaged baits are engineered slightly differently to trap the pheromones without constant immersion and are designed for ease of handling.
In addition to their other attributes, the Trigger X line is 100% biodegradable. Baits that anglers lose will break down and become part of the underwater food chain in a few weeks.
