Shrimp are a staple food for virtually all inshore gamefish, and, recognizing that, Yo-Zuri has introduced the world’s first ultra-premium hard shrimp lure—the Crystal 3D Shrimp, offering anglers an alternative to the myriad soft shrimp imitations on the market.
Available in seven colors, all the models feature an internationally patented 3D Prism finish that collects and reflects light like a gemstone, attracting gamefish like speckled trout, red drum, and flounder from great distances. Two of the colors also feature ultraviolet enhancements, and since fish see ultraviolet light, this makes them even more attractive than the human eye can tell.
A glow color is also available to draw fish in under low light conditions.
The flexible rubber legs on the 3D Shrimp mimic the constantly moving legs of a live shrimp, and a pulsating, feathered treble hook at the rear of the lure completes the illusion.
Crystal 3D shrimp are slow sinking lures balanced horizontally to mimic the natural action of a shrimp, and they can be worked fast or slow with a steady or dart-and-pause retrieve.
Two sizes of the Crystal 3D Shrimp are available to ‘match the hatch’ of the local crustacean. The smaller bait is 2 3/4” long and weighs 1/4 oz., and its larger cousin is 3 1/2”, tipping the scales at 1/2 oz.
Yo-Zuri’s newest creation is already in stores, and anglers are reporting excellent results, especially with speckled trout. Check them out at your favorite local tackle shop.
